If you've spent years holding everything together, this episode is for you.
Today I'm unpacking two lies the strong woman carries that feel like facts — and what happens when you finally see them for what they are.
We go to Luke 10, where Martha brings her exhaustion to Jesus not to complain, but to ask Him to solve a problem she assigned herself.
And I share what changed in my own life when I stopped managing and started receiving.
Same facts. Different thought. Completely different life.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9 · Proverbs 31:26 · Luke 10:41–42 · Isaiah 40:31

If you're ready to look inward instead of repeating patterns, This is what we work through inside the 30-Day Post Divorce Reset
Remarriage won't heal what divorce broke. Not as a warning. As the most freeing thing I know how to say to you.
You have a list.
Maybe you haven't written it down. But it's there. When this settles. When he stops. When I find someone. When the kids are okay. When life looks like what it was supposed to look like. Then I'll have peace.
In this episode I'm sharing something personal — a belief I carried into my own marriage that I had to see before I could unlearn it. Not because it was a bad belief. Because it was producing results I didn't want. And when I finally saw it, I couldn't unsee it. And I can't let you stay in that list without showing you what I found.
I'm also showing you that the Bible has been teaching this principle — that our thoughts shape our feelings, which drive our actions, which produce our results — long before any coach or therapist gave it a name. Paul understood it. David understood it. Hannah lived it.
We spend real time in Philippians 4:11 today. Paul uses a Greek word — autarkes, pronounced ow-TAHR-kace — that means contented, sufficient, not dependent on external conditions. And he says he LEARNED it. In prison. Which means it is a skill. Which means it is available to you right now, in this season, before a single thing on your list changes.
And we close with Hannah. A woman who wept bitterly, poured everything out, surrendered the outcome — and in verse 18, before her prayer was answered, her face was no longer downcast. That is the invitation for you today.
IF THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU:
You are doing everything right and still waiting to feel okay.
You believe the next season will finally give you peace — and part of you suspects that might not be true.
You want the next relationship to be different but you're not sure how to make that happen.
You want to stop waiting and start living. In this season. As this woman.

Ready to start peeling back what’s been covering who God created you to be? The 30-Day Identity Reset is where you start.
I learned a seven-word prayer after my divorce that changed everything. The first thing God showed me had nothing to do with my ex — and everything to do with me.
Ephesians 5:6 says let no one deceive you with empty words.
No one.
Not your ex. Not the culture. Not the voices around you. But here is what that verse means that most of us have never sat with: that “no one” includes you. Your own mind. The stories you have been telling yourself so long they stopped feeling like stories and started feeling like facts.
In this episode I’m sharing the prayer that cracked all of that open for me. Seven words I first heard from Francis Chan — and what happened the first time I prayed them and actually meant them.
The first thing God revealed was not about my ex. It was about love. What I believed love was. What I had been taught it required of me. How I had spent years trying to earn something God had already given me freely. That revelation became my “Lessons from the Father” series. It started as one layer coming off.
I also share a framework in this episode that I use with every client: the difference between deception and God’s voice. Deception consumes — you spin, you spiral, you research, you rehearse, and you end up exactly where you started. God creates — His word produces something. Movement. Clarity. Fruit. The burning bush in Exodus 3 is the image: it burns without being consumed. That is what His presence does.
And I share a moment — a conversation with my child — where the prayer produced something I did not expect: a story I had been holding about my ex, dismantled. Not because he was right. Because I had incomplete information. And the prayer made me willing to see that.
The close includes three reflection questions I want you to sit with this week. The last one is the hardest. And the most important.
Ready to do this work with real support? Apply for the 30-Day Identity Reset to begin your journey to peace, clarity and closure post divorce.
THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU IF:
You are circling the same thoughts about your ex and nothing is shifting.
You think your discernment is clear — but you are not sure anymore.
You have been consumed by the story of what happened and you are exhausted by it.
You want to hear God’s voice more clearly but you cannot separate it from everything else.
You are willing to ask the hard question: Am I willing to be wrong?

I was on a walk telling God what my kids needed. He stopped me mid-sentence and said five words that changed everything.
For years after my divorce I was terrified I was going to give my children the same experience I had growing up.
I watched my own parents spend forty years unable to be in the same room. I knew what that cost. I did not want to give that to my kids. So I held on in my marriage longer than I should have. And when I finally found myself on the other side of it — I gripped harder. I prayed harder. I managed harder.
And God, on a walk, stopped me.
“They are mine before they are yours.”
Five words. And in an instant — humbled and at peace at the same time.
In this episode I’m sharing three things:
The rebuke that changed my job description as a parent. What it looked like to stay surrendered through years of waiting when the circumstances didn’t change. And the moment — in a hospital room — when God kept the word He gave me on that walk.
There is also something about 2 Timothy 1:5 in the close that I have not shared anywhere before. Paul credits one of the greatest ministries in the New Testament to two women. No father mentioned. No intact family structure. Just a grandmother and a mother who were faithful.
Your faithfulness is enough. Not your perfection. Not your control. Your faithfulness.
If you are carrying the weight of your children’s spiritual outcomes, if you are the only one showing up consistently and you are exhausted by it — this episode is for you.

You feel like you are the only one fighting for your children spiritually.
You are terrified of repeating the co-parenting patterns you watched growing up.
You are trying to stay surrendered but the circumstances are not changing and the waiting is exhausting.
You have been confusing stewardship with ownership — and the weight of it is crushing you.

1 Corinthians 2 says there is a wisdom God decreed for your glory before time began. It has never been on the shelf at your therapist’s office. Today I’m showing you how you receive it.
Head to HERE  to create peace, clarity, and closure in just 30 days post divorce.
What if the reason you keep circling the same pain — choosing the same kinds of people, staying in the same kinds of situations, asking the same questions you cannot seem to answer — isn’t a willpower problem?
What if it’s not even a healing problem?
What if the real issue is that you have been trying to navigate your life with information the world gave you — when God has a wisdom available to you that the world literally cannot access?
Last week we laid the foundation of truth: God is the original source of all truth, and you study Him — not the counterfeits. Today we go deeper into how that truth actually gets from God to you.
Here’s what we’re covering this week:
What Paul means by “the secret and hidden wisdom of God” — and why it was decreed for your glory before time began. How the Spirit searches everything — even the depths of God — and what that means for your discernment right now. And what it actually looks like to receive that wisdom. The posture. The practice. And Job’s promise from the ash heap that holds it all together.
I also share what this looks like for two very different women — the one who keeps chasing and the one who has completely shut down. And a story about a client, a box from her wedding, and what God showed her when she finally sat still long enough to receive it.
This wisdom is not contingent on your marital status. It is not forfeited because of your past. It was decreed for you before any of this happened. And it is available to you right now.
Done circling the same pain? Ready to access the wisdom God already decreed for your story?
Find all the details to learn how here.

You have done the work — the therapy, the journaling, the church — and something is still not shifting.
You keep choosing the same kinds of people and you cannot figure out why.
You want to hear God’s voice more clearly but you are not sure how to tell it from everything else.
You have been trying to figure your life out with your own understanding and you are exhausted by it.

You’ve been told to trust God’s word your whole life. But if your marriage was built on something false — you already know that trusting the wrong thing is exactly how you got here.
Ready to stop rebuilding your life on what someone else told you was true and start building it on Him? Join me for 30 Days to peace. Clarity and Closure post divorce here.
How do you actually know what’s true?
Not theoretically. Not theologically. After your marriage, after your faith was shaken, after the people and systems you trusted turned out to be something different than what they claimed — how do you know the real thing from the counterfeit?
That is not a small question. That is the question your healing depends on.
In this episode I’m sharing the framework that changed everything for me. It comes from the U.S. Treasury — and once you hear it, you will never approach your Bible, your relationships, or your self-understanding the same way again.
Here’s what we’re getting into:
Why your beliefs — not your behavior — are the root of every pattern you can’t seem to break. Why studying counterfeits will never protect you from deception — and what actually does. And why Proverbs and Psalms keep pointing to the same posture: not certainty, not strength, but humility before the original.
I also share something personal in this one — about the faith tradition I was raised in, my grandmother, and what it looked like to genuinely seek God and have His Word begin to illuminate things I hadn’t seen before. Not a crisis. A clarification. And the weight of carrying that alongside grief.
This is Part 1 of 2. Everything in next week’s episode builds on what we lay down today.
If your faith has been shaken and you are ready to rebuild it on something real — this is where that starts.
Ready to stop rebuilding your life on what someone else told you was true and start building it on Him? Join me for 30 Days to peace. Clarity and Closure post divorce here.
